Position qualifications:
Previous experience with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) preferred. Minimum two (2) years previous experience in Human Resources or related setting preferred.
Job purpose:
Provides general and technical support to the Human Resources Department. Ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations and Mind Springs Health policies/procedures and their impact on the operations. Maintains content of personnel files and processes information into ADP. Manages company-wide training database, to include reporting and uploading of data.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability (include materials and equipment directly used):
- Knowledge of employment laws and Human Resources practices and procedures.
- Ability to communicate human resources information to individuals and small groups.
- Ability to be helpful and sensitive to the needs of all employees, while concurrently respecting corporate policies, procedures, and priorities.
- Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all personnel.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between Mind Springs Health sites. Possible potential for exposure to communicable disease.
