Job Summary The HR Systems Data Specialist maintains the Human Resources master file information on employee records, using the automated HRMS systems, covering personal, position, pay, benefits, status, performance, and activity data. Provides functional support to the BCH Management, HR Management Resource Center, and Employee Service Center for compensation, performance management and development, benefits, and employment sections of Human Resources and Payroll. They will troubleshoot HRMS transactional issues and partner with HRIS to address trends and identify improvements.
The HR Systems Data Specialist will:
Ensure the integrity of employee data, from position management, performance and development, compensation, and benefits perspective
Create and execute queries as needed for management and/or internal HR
Collaborate with Human Resources departments to identify audit needs; work with HRIS to develop specific audits and frequency; work with Lean Six Sigma to define measurements, improvement plans/goals, and RACI and updates to PeopleSoft tables and processes as required
Enter/correct benefits and job data transactions as needed outside of self-service accessibility
Provide Tier 2 support to HR and supervisors/managers regarding employee information and employee change processing
Provide advice as to the appropriate employee transactions to use in order to achieve the desired goals while maintaining data integrity and honoring Human Resources policies
Augment the design and functionality of the automated HRMS systems through proposing enhancements and evaluating users' requests. Identifies programming problems where the automated HRMS system is not working as desired
Leverage audit results and works with Compliance and Lean Six Sigma colleagues to identify opportunities for system improvements that enhance user experience and minimize compliance risks
Will support other HR Operations teams and projects as needed
To qualify you must:
Bachelor's Degree is required
2 years of directly related experience; 4 years of additional directly related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
Possess analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of mathematical, analytical thinking and technical principles and in-depth HRMS knowledge, preferably PeopleSoft HRMS 9.2
Have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, facilitating group information needs and translating those needs into language that Information Services will use to build programs
Hold the ability to train users in how to use the automated HRMS systems; Familiarity with at least one HRMS system, PeopleSoft HRMS 9.2 strongly preferred
Familiarity with fundamentals of employment law and regulatory requirements
