Within the Department of Physics & Astronomy, this position serves with the Department Chair, the Assistant Chairs, and the Department Manager as a member of the informal departmental Executive Committee. This group considers all issues which need attention to make the department and its educational programs run smoothly. The Department Human Resources Leader is expected to bring to this group informed opinion and advice about management of human resources matters for all departmental personnel.
