Position Information This position serves as part of the Administrative Services and Strategic Executive Team (ASSET) as the Senior Human Resources Generalist, advising and providing service delivery of a full range of human resource functions to the campus' senior leadership, as well as for divisions and units in Planning, Budget, and Administration (PB&A), Auxiliary Services and Planning, Design & Construction organizations. The position reports to the Human Resources Business Partner and serves as a point of contact for a diverse workforce; responding to inquiries, questions, requests, and concerns. Provides high-level analytical and administrative support in collaboration with the HR Business Partner and PB&A HR Team in the implementation and delivery of HR services and programs, with a focus on recruitment, as well as, employee relations, performance management program administration and reporting, compensation programs, leave administration, departmental policy development/revisions, payroll, training and development, and other ad hoc requests for reports and information.
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule.

Experience Requirement Experience with UC and UCR-specific systems and processes. Preferred 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required Experience in processing a high volume of recruitments to include the development of job descriptions, developing recruitment plans, and reviewing resumes. Required
Requirement Must successfully pass a background check through the DOJ and FBI. Required

Possesses strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills. Thorough knowledge of human resources concepts, policies and procedures, employment practices, labor relations, salary administration, training and other areas of human resources. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to recognize sensitive information and handle the information with confidentiality and tact. Demonstrated analytical, active listening, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. Demonstrates skill in prioritizing competing work assignments, employing political acumen and integrating information to determine appropriate courses of action and their implications.
