The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR professional to join our team as an Academic HR Business Partner. In this role, you will be responsible for providing consultative HR support and oversight for assigned client groups, including overseeing academic HR for the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business.
As an Academic HR Business Partner, you will have the opportunity to lead a small team and collaborate on college-wide training/projects. You will also serve as a liaison with HR partners internal and external to the College, University central HR and subject matter experts as needed.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of prioritizing and delegating various tasks and projects, as well as strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, we are looking for someone who can cultivate an environment of inclusivity and trust among clients and colleagues, and who has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters and information with appropriate judgment and discretion is imperative to this role. We require a Bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of HR experience preferably in higher education supporting an academic population or equivalent combination of education and experience.
