The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care is seeking an experienced HR professional with experience in an academic environment. Join our fun and collaborative HR team where you will have a meaningful impact on the department by supporting our clinical faculty across five UCSF campuses.
This position is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, administering, and in consultation with central Academic Human Resources coordinating departmental academic recruitment, onboarding, advancement and separation processes. Reporting to the HR Director, this position manages departmental academic affairs, serves as a key administrative resource for faculty and departmental leadership, and is a member of the primary liaison team to the HR Service Center regarding Anesthesia's academic affairs. These HR Liaison duties are performed in close collaboration with central Human Resources for both Staff HR and academic HR. This position uses skills and knowledge of UC System wide and Academic HR policies and programs to address strategic academic personnel issues. Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
