Under minimal supervision, provides support with the design, development, and delivery of innovative learning and development programs that drive organizational objectives and support the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding, career development, successions planning, and management and leadership development. Assists in the development and planning of employee recognition programs and annual performance management process. Provide direct support to all TrainTraq users, including all Employees, TrainTraq Workstation Processors, and TrainTraq Managers, throughout Tarleton State University.
Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. Travel required to multiple work site locations. Position may be required to work remotely at the request of the University.
Responsibilities:
50% Develop, review, evaluate and deliver innovative, interactive, and high-quality learning experiences for the university employees. Creates and designs training curriculum, establishes delivery method(s), participant guides, handouts, job aids, and evaluation and measurement tools, ensuring all material is consistent with learning principles and organizational objectives as outlined in the university Strategic Plan. Monitors changes and governmental laws and regulations to ensure training remains current. Maintains a course inventory among other tracking tools and databases.
10% Assists with scheduling, communications and marketing of training programs including, but not limited to monthly departmental newsletter, coordinating university calendar events, generating monthly reports and statistics on training efforts, scheduling training room opportunities, and coordinating weekly communications through campus messaging.
10% Assists with training and provides customer service to subject matter experts, training providers, workstation processors, and training administrators throughout Tarleton State University in adding courses into TrainTraq, uploading completions, hosting online courses, making assignments, and monitoring compliance. Training programs included but not limited to: Driver's Safety Training, New Employee Orientation, New Faculty Orientation, Graduate Assistant Orientation, Student Worker training, FAMIS training, Banner training, HR related applications (Workday, Budgeting) and voucher/purchasing training. Monitors new employee assignments, follows up with outstanding trainings and provides reports as needed. Responds to inquiries regarding the capabilities and functionality of TrainTraq. Processes TrainTraq access requests and monitors user roles and access.Â
10% Assist with employee recognition programs such as service awards, university awards and Tarleton L.I.F.E.
10% Assist with the annual performance review process.
5% Assists with updates to employee resources including training guides and web pages.Â
5% Performs other duties as assigned. Supports level one inquiries from prospective, current and retired employees regarding all other aspects of Employee Services activity including, but not limited to, job application, hiring practices, compensation, staffing/position management, employee/retiree benefits, training, employee development, employee relations and manager support. Travels to multiple work site locations.
This is a security-sensitive position. The individual in this position is required to handle Protected Health Information in accordance with A&M System policy and is further required to complete HIPAA training as a condition of employment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of related experience in designing, developing and delivering instructor led and/or online training programs. Experience with learning management systems/training management technologies and providing technical troubleshooting and support. Experience with employee recognition programs and performance management processes.Â
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to travel occasionally to multiple work site locations.

The target base annual salary is $48,120 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
