Position Information Reporting to the Financial & Administrative Services Team (FAST) Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist serves as an influential and highly productive HR resource for organizational units that the Financial & Administrative Services Team (FAST) supports, which include Enrollment Services, International Affairs, Undergraduate Education, and the University Honors department. The Human Resource generalist is responsible for a variety of HR support duties, including leave administration, full cycle recruitment's, personnel file management, salary actions, job descriptions, performance management, and HR policy interpretation. Gathers and analyzes human resources data in support of human resources initiatives throughout the organizations supported. The Human Resource Generalist collaborates with colleagues in the FAST unit, with supported clients, and with all levels of faculty, staff, and students across campus to support the goals and priorities of the organizations ensuring proactive implementation of programs and services all while maintaining the strictest confidentiality. Fosters a culture focused in FAST strategic anchors of, Psychological Safety, Client Engagement, and Innovation. This position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-campus.

Minimum Requirements Skilled in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing. Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, knowledge of functional area and understands how work may affect other areas. Knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and/or other related business software programs and systems. Possesses strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. Demonstrated analytical, active listening, and critical thinking skills. Thorough knowledge of human resources concepts, policies and procedures, employment practices, labor relations, salary administration, training and other areas of human resources. Demonstrates skill in prioritizing competing work assignments, employing political acumen and integrating information to determine appropriate courses of action and their implications. Ability to independently gather and analyze data, performing sound judgment and decision making. Working knowledge of best practices that contribute to a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and innovation.
