Provides intermediate to senior level human resources support to the employees of Tarleton State University and the Department of Employee Services; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate
Responsibilities: - 65% Daily administration of all leave programs, such as FMLA, vacation leave, and sick leave. Review records in Workday to ensure the appropriate use of leave and required documentation is received when needed. Monitors need and eligibility for Sick Leave Pool. Prepares and submits Sick Leave Pool requests for approval in accordance with Regulations. Reviews and processes Sick Leave Donation requests in compliance with regulations. Monitors and submits Leave Without Pay to payroll for appropriate deductions. Reviews and audits leave accruals and various leave reports. Provides consultation and guidance to employees and managers regarding leave benefits and absence situations. Responsible for various State leave reporting.
- 25% Oversees and daily administration of State service to record in accordance with State and System Regulations. Conducts audits and review of State service updates service in Workday for longevity pay and leave purposes and coordinates appropriate pay corrections with Payroll as needed
- 10% Processes external requests for State employment verification of prior State employees that do not require salary information, as well as other duties as may be assigned.
Education and Experience: -Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience -Two years work experience in human resources or related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: -Experience with computer-based applications; Strong organization skills -Must be quality focused and customer minded.

The target base annual salary is $48,120 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
