About the College of Human Ecology and the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy:

The Opportunity:
The Sr. HR Business Partner collaborates across the organization, consulting on a broad range of complex academic and nonacademic HR issues including employee relations and climate, diversity initiatives, recruitment and retention strategies, compensation initiatives, classification decisions and pay equity, conflict negotiation and mediation, performance management and performance improvement plans.
- Direct staff recruitment initiatives with an emphasis on increasing overall staff diversity.
- Work with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and direct recruitment efforts and search processes for non-academic staff and non-professorial academic positions.
- Collaborate with the Asst. Dean of HR to establish and implement HR best practices.
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives that aid employee engagement and a healthy and respectful work culture.
- Advise and assist senior leaders, managers, supervisors, and staff on employee relations, performance management, facilitating conflict resolution and mediation.
- Develop and deliver or facilitate college-wide training.
- Direct college initiatives to develop tools and solutions to improve HR processes and practices, engaging stakeholders and college leadership.
What we need:
We are seeking an innovative and strategic thinker who will embrace, partner and counsel diverse constituents at all levels of the organization. Relationship building, leadership skills, and experience effectively presiding over multiple priorities is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving HR best practices, recruiting and talent development, and will have experience working in a complex and dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree in related field with 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. PHR or SPHR Certification and experience or background working in higher education are preferred.
