The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The Associate Director, Human Resources (ADHR) serves as a critical member of Columbia Global???s Human Resources team who oversees and implements the people operations and human capital management strategies of the organization. This will include staff development, performance management, academic appointments, workforce and succession planning, and support for hiring and onboarding new employees. Along with the Director of Human Resources and Operations, the ADHR is the point of contact for all employee relations matters. The Columbia Global HR team supports all Columbia Global sites including all Columbia University Global Centers around the world. The ADHR must be committed to creating an accessible, supportive environment and an employee experience that recognizes diversity and cultural competence as integral components of organizational excellence.
Responsibilities
Manage employee and labor relations issues across all Columbia Global sites, including international locations.
Oversee academic appointments, including onboarding, renewals, and terminations.
Plan and manage performance management process, including merit increases, bonus programs, and employee recognition.
Research and recommend initiatives to support employee engagement, succession planning, and retention efforts.
Identify and provide professional development opportunities to enhance employee skills and productivity.
Provide guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures, conflict resolution, and maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment.
Manage leaves and workplace accommodations in compliance with CU policies and regulations.
Develop HR processes that align with university policies and meet organizational needs.
Conduct HR data entry and manage HR data in accurate and timely way to complete HR actions.
Assist with recruitment efforts and new hire processes.
Maintain confidentiality in all HR-related matters
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor???s degree required. Minimum 5-7 years related experience in human resources are required.
Preferred Qualifications
International human resources experience desirable.
Tact and good judgement in confidential situations and experience interacting with senior management.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities in both domestic and international settings.
Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion throughout all Columbia Global sites.
Must be detail-oriented and work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Have excellent customer service and superior verbal and written communication skills.
Highly proficient in applications within MS Office Suite with ability to create spreadsheets, manage databases and generate reports as necessary.
Prior experience and knowledge of CU systems such as PAC, TalentLink, ASR, TLAM and ARC.
Experience training and developing workforce as well as delivering staff development opportunities.
Human Resources certification (PHR, SHRM, SPHR, GPHR, or PHRi)
