Job Description Summary Help design, implement, and manage the maintenance of the Benefit administration. Responsible for responding to employee inquiries & responsible for auditing employee and benefit data in PeopleSoft in an accurate and timely manner. Benefits Administrator will also serve as PeopleSoft expert related to Benefits administration.
Responsibilities: (100%)
Daily benefits-related data entries, maintain employee and company information in PeopleSoft
Administer health and retirement benefits for employees in PeopleSoft, such as medical, dental, HRAs, FSAs, life insurance, and retirement savings.
Manage employee benefits-related data for the biweekly payroll. Enter and update benefit amounts in PeopleSoft in accordance with established payroll due dates
Correct employee records as needed to ensure an accurate and current employee history
Coordinate death cases
Maintains documentation of configurations and processes
Respond to employeesâ™ benefits issues in Salesforce cases
Follow up with new hires to ensure they complete and submit their benefits.
Ensure retirement eligibility and payouts.
Open Enrollment assigned tasks
Audit incoming and outgoing vendor files discrepancies
Audit medical, life insurance and dental vendors payments
Process employee direct billing
Help automate manual processes to improve accuracy
Coordinate and manage the benefits for terminated employees â“ COBRA, Continuation of coverage, severance pay, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or a combination of related education and professional HR work experience to equal four years.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical/problem solving skills and the ability to work with clients of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Selection Criteria:
At least one year of professional benefits experience is preferred.
Preference will be given to those candidates with demonstrated knowledge of benefit plans and/or related payroll experience.
Experience is desired in working with vendors on operational plan administration issues for benefits plans.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
