Position Information Working within the Staff Experience unit as part of the Strategic Operations division, the HR Generalist 3 will serve as an integral part of the Human Resources/Staff Experience team for UCR University Extension, the continuing education arm of the University of California, Riverside. The position is responsible for a variety of HR functions in support of organizational human resource management for staff, student staff, and by-agreement instructors through responsibilities in the development, implementation, administration, analysis and evaluation of human resource programs and procedures. The HR Generalist 3 carries responsibilities, advises and provides consultation to leadership and unit directors/supervisors regarding work force planning, compensation, classification, full cycle recruitment, performance management, HR policy interpretation and compliance, and professional development. The HR Generalist 3 also carries responsibilities in employee and labor relations, disability accommodation, leave administration, and provides analyses of human resources data and reporting, as needed. The HR Generalist 3 is responsible for a high degree of collaboration and coordination in the delivery of HR services to support the University Extension organization through planning with organizational units/divisions, Citrus Shared Service Center, and Central Human Resources. The position uses HR concepts as a seasoned, experienced professional to apply organization policies and procedures to resolve the full range of HR-related issues. Works on problems that are diverse and complex in scope, where analysis of situations require a review of a variety of factors. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day assignments with some guidance provided on new projects.
