The Assistant Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for the HR Strategy working closely with the Senior Vice President and CFO. S/he will assist in developing a broad HR strategy that drives the attraction, retention, and development of a qualified and talented workforce. Ensure that the organization delivers well-designed and effective talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, talent development, benefits, compensation, and other HR programs and initiatives.

Design and implement Diversity Training for Faculty and Staff, work with Managers when Diversity issues arise;
Develop, review, and approve organizational charts and job descriptions;
Develop and maintain performance review process, including training of supervisors and employees;
Updates and streamlines HR systems and processes;

Develop and maintain performance review process, including training of supervisors and employees;

Develop, review, and make recommendations of policies and procedures, to ensure that the College is following all personnel policies and procedures, and compliance with state and federal labor laws
Updates and streamlines HR systems and processes, and benchmarks HR related data;
Analyzes workforce classification and compensation, assesses the competitiveness of compensation practices, and makes recommendations to align classifications and salaries with system-wide benchmarks and market data.

Experience

· 7-10 years in Human Resource Management;

· Higher education experience preferred;

· Supervisory experience.

Skills and Knowledge

· Strong time management skills;

· Ability to adapt to constant changes in priorities and tasks;

· Strong attention to detail;

· Excellent verbal, written and communication skills;

· Maintain a working knowledge of changes to state and federal labor laws;

· Microsoft office products experience.
