Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator (Civil Service) provides information to
faculty and instructional staff regarding time and leave, maintaining an understanding of College and CUNY policy.
TheHuman Resources Coordinator (Civil Service) also participates in special projects and initiatives, including the upcomingrollout of the new electronic timekeeping system.
The Human Resources Coordinator (Civil Service) will perform the following duties:
??? Tracks and monitors time and leave for full-time instructional staff. Reviews timesheets and accurately records
information in the time and leave system and CUNYFirst. Works closely with Payroll to resolve inconsistencies asnecessary.
??? Assists with the administration of all leaves of absence for all classification of employees. Provides information toall staff regarding leave options. Serves as liaison throughout employee leave until official return to work.
??? Monitors sick leave in accordance with College and CUNY time and leave policies.
??? Works closely with the Human Resources Manager and Benefits Manager/Specialist/Coordinator to assist in theadvisement of faculty and staff regarding Travia Leave policies.
??? Informs Worker???s Compensation claimants of rights and obligations per legal regulations and CUNY policy.
??? Assists with department efforts to educate the campus on time and leave policies, including participation in newhire orientation, faculty onboarding and the creation of communication materials.
??? Serves as one of the leads and trains staff college-wide in the use of the new electronic timekeeping system.
??? Assists with the preparation of compliance reports and audits related to timekeeping information.
??? Disseminates sick, annual and compensatory leave balances
QUALIFICATIONS
??? Bachelor???s degree required.
??? Experience with Microsoft Access preferred
??? Proven experience leading and managing time and attendance systems (TimeTrak, TimeClock Plus, KRONOS)preferred
??? Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
??? Demonstrated organizational ability and superior interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer
service within a multicultural community are preferred.
??? Knowledge of CUNYFirst, Microsoft Teams preferred
