Organization Effectiveness is the domain of Campus Human Resources that includes the Communications and Engagement, Knowledge Management, Organizational Development and Staff Learning and Development functions. This area is responsible for helping frame and drive the Chief Human Resource Officer's (CHRO) strategy within HR and across campus, planning and leading organizational transformation, ensuring that employees have the knowledge skills needed to operate effectively and efficiently, developing highly effective leaders, supporting change management strategies, creating a knowledge management ecosystem for staff, developing and deploying communications strategy and tools for the staff audience, and supporting staff engagement within HR and across campus in furthering the five anchors of the UC San Diego People Proposition: Equity, Care, Growth, Purpose and Inclusion.

As an organizational consultant, this role will play a critical role in transitioning the balance of the organization's HR services and resources from a largely decentralized model to a more strategically integrated model, as well as supporting our continuous improvement efforts more generally. This transformation aims to enhance client experience and effectiveness, streamline processes and reduce administrative roadblocks, increase consistency, and optimize resource allocation across the organization. This role will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the multi-year alignment and integration roadmap and ensuring a seamless transition, grounded in partnership with diverse stakeholders and support for the organization's strategic goals.
Project LeadershipIndependently use and apply a wide-range of advanced organizational development professional concepts and organization objectives to resolve complex organizational development, design and effectiveness issues. Collaborate with senior leadership to define the vision, objectives, and benefits of integrated HR services, and develop sustainable models and strategies for its near- and long-term success. Develop a comprehensive integration strategy for overall project approach and timeline, execution, change management and key stakeholder identification and engagement. Lead the end-to-end execution of integration and complementary initiatives, including planning, resource allocation, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
