Facilitates training courses, both on-site and virtual, for all employees across the College. Coordinates and delivers all new hire and embedded employee base training, as needed.
Manages and prioritizes multiple training courses including, but not limited to, Development Dimensions International (DDI) Leadership courses; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) workshops; Disc; and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) workshops.
Facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods and virtual tools.
Training Preparation and Analysis
Gathers, reviews, and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions. Recommends and implements approved revisions to course materials, as necessary to improve training retention and effectiveness.
Plays a key role in planning new training. Utilizes the LMS to track all training enrollment and completion for the College. Maintains up to date knowledge on current trends and best practices in the training area through ongoing professional development.
Communication and Building Internal Partnerships
Interacts with project associated vendors, as needed. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand learning objectives.
Models exceptional customer service, teamwork, and professionalism in all interactions with the College employees, training participants, associated project vendors, and community members.
Partners with Human Resources team members to support training needs around projects including new systems, policies, and/or procedures. Makes suggestions and recommendations for ongoing enhancements to training programs and materials for continued effectiveness.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.
Assists with conducting workforce analytics related to organizational development to identify potential inhibitors of a workplace environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Attends departmental, divisional, and unit staff meetings on a consistent basis. Continue personal development and learning through continuing education opportunities.
Manages multiple assignments of varying complexity while meeting federal, state as well as internal policies and regulations with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the College and business partners.
Columbus State Community College has been meeting the diverse educational needs of the Central Ohio community for more than 50 years. The college is proud to be an important contributor to the growth and progress of the region and to serve as the front door to higher education in Central Ohio. From the first graduating class in 1965 through this year, 50,000 students have earned associate degrees in 50-plus technical fields and academic transfer programs. Columbus State also offers Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree programs whose coursework fulfills the freshman and sophomore year requirements for bachelor’s degree programs offered by four-year colleges and universities throughout the state. Specific transfer agreements with more than 40 colleges and universities are in place at Columbus State, and new direct-to degree partnership programs are being developed all the time. Columbus State now has two campuses serving Central Ohio educational needs. The Columbus Campus is located on 85 acres in downtown Columbus. The 108-acre, full-service Delaware Campus welcomed its first students in 2010. Additionally, Columbus State offers classes at nine convenient regional learning centers throughout Central Ohio.
