This position serves as a member of the Human Resources (HR) unit within the KU School of Business. The HR Coordinator performs a wide range of HR duties including assisting in the recruiting, screening, interviewing, and training processes. HR Coordinator collaborates with School's HR team to develop and implement HR best practices within the School of Business. Other primary duties include preparing and maintaining employment records, completing data analysis, and promoting a positive work culture.
Knowledge of the HR principles and regulations are essential for this role. A successful HR Coordinator will need to develop a thorough understanding of the University's payroll system, budget, and HR processes and procedures. Candidates with excellent skills in critical thinking, building relationships, and time management are encouraged to apply. This position is part of BSchool HR team and reports directly to the School's HR Business Manager. It is a full-time, benefits-eligible, 12-month professional staff position. A reduced FTE (down to .75) may be considered, if preferred by a very strong candidate. This position is designated primarily as on-campus with the possibility of hybrid or virtual work over academic breaks. Alternative and flexible work schedules will be evaluated as per KU policy and School guidelines.
