The Senior Specialist Organizational Design position is a part of our Human Resources organizational design and change management team. This position partners with campus partners to review and assess unit organizational structures, systems, and processes for effectiveness and efficiencies that support the institutional and unit strategic vision. This position provides guidance to unit leaders related to HR related interventions and change management initiatives, as well as, supports the campus community and stakeholders with transparent change management plans and communications. With a focus on organizational strategy and design as well as change management strategies, leadership engagement, communications, and organization alignment, this position will be a consultative partner in both the development and execution of improvement efforts while fostering a culture of care.Â

RESPONSIBILITIES
In consultation with campus and unit leadership strive to understand the imperative for change and facilitate engagement of stakeholders and eventual adoption of the change effort.
Translate academic and operational strategic plans into functional and technical designs/workflows.
In consultation with the unit leader, interpret current structure, systems, processes and associated issues, and proactively articulate solutions and/or enhancements.
Assess the readiness of the campus unit for a variety of changes including new technology/processes, new organization strategy or other change efforts.
Apply a structured and transparent methodology to creating change management initiatives.
Lead and facilitate change that enables the desired organizational strategy with positive benefits and minimum disruption of academic and operational processes.
Manage change management projects, including the tracking and advancing of action items, providing regular updates to the client, and partnering with various offices to ensure a comprehensive implementation, i.e. Marketing & Communications, Organizational Development & Training.Â
Identify and document organizational impacts of change initiatives such as Vision/Value Definition, Communication, Leadership Engagement, Organization Alignment and Sustainability
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have experience working with clients in a team-based professional consulting capacity
Minimum of five (5) years providing change management solutions in support of large-scale process/technology projects and/or other transformational initiatives
Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor and cross-functional project management experience with an emphasis on change management, leadership engagement, and related communications
Acute business acumen and understanding of the higher education landscape, trending issues and challenges.Â
Demonstrated ability to serve as an innovative problem solver.
Strong project management methodology background & experience, including schedule, scope, issue, and risk management experience
Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communications, and client relationship skills
A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree with 8 or more years of experience in executing change management in large, complex environments.
Industry experience in HR, Finance, or IT desired, as is experience in a higher education environment. Change Management Certification.
WORK MODE
Hybrid/Remote - Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in this role will also be expected to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary in order to best fulfill the responsibilities of their job descriptions.Â
