Human Resources Associate Expectations & Essential Functions
Manage and update the school’s HR portal, BambooHR, to ensure that all employee data is correct and up to date.
Update and process payroll on a semi-monthly basis. Ensure deductions and pay are accurate and payroll is processed in a timely manner.
Manage and process benefits such as FSA, Transit, retirement, and health. Work with employees on changes, enrollment, and termination of benefits. Ensure that all the necessary paperwork is submitted to the corresponding vendors.
Manage and process paperwork, reporting, and details related to leaves of absences. This includes calculation of dates and pay and work with Unum on STBL, LTD, and NYPFL payments.
Work with the Director of Finance and the Chief Community Officer on compliance related to benefits, disability, insurance, 1095 forms, etc.
Manage and update the Employee Handbook and the Family Handbook on a regular basis.
Process professional learning requests for all employees including registration, accommodations, and travel. Update the professional development file and BambooHR.
Assist with events and meetings related to the onboarding and community building of professional staff such as orientation days, opening meetings, happy hours, celebration events, etc.
Other duties as required.
Be present at the school during the required work hours.
Communicate with students, faculty, staff, parents, visitors, and vendors on a regular basis with face-to-face discussions, e-mail, phone calls, letters, and memos in order to accomplish essential functions.
Time Management: ability to manage own time and time of others in order to meet expectations and deadlines.
Commitment to timeliness, efficiency, and excellence in all work produced and projects/tasks managed.

Participate in the life of the school, including attendance at required events such as curriculum night, parent conferences, grade-level cocktail party, Christmas Fair, Spring Benefit, and school games and events.
Enforce school policies and rules with students.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Faculty members also need to be proficient with Google Classroom and have the ability to use classroom technology such as Smart Boards, Zoom, etc.
