The ideal candidate will be responsible for new hire onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.
About the role
Assist with processing payroll.
Submit state and federal reporting for payroll and other reporting required.
Oversee benefits administration, open enrollment, and monthly enrollment for new employees.
Maintain complete and accurate records and files including personnel files for all employees.
Conducts all unemployment cases, hearings, and verifications of employment.
Oversee and process new hire onboarding and offboarding.
Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically, quarterly at minimum, conduct I-9 Form completion audits.
Manage annual compliance with 401(K) plan and assist with Workers Comp and General Liability audit on an annual basis.
Research and develop new procedures as requested and maintain employee handbook, policies, and procedures.
Assist in establishing and improving standard processes for HR in conjunction with management.
Act as liaison and point of contact for employees with questions regarding benefit plans and eligibility.
Coordinate benefits and employee benefits elections with third party administrators and providers and resolve benefits issues.
Stay current with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
Special or ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Preferred Bachelors degree or PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certificate.
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
Excellent communications, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to always maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards.
Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of principles and procedures used in Human Resources.
Knowledge and understanding of local laws, rules, and/or regulations affecting human resources administration.
