GENERAL DUTIES
Provides information and services to the College community to support the Human Resources function.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator will have primary responsibility for time & leave and payroll processing and will perform the following duties in addition to the responsibilities listed in the CUNY title overview:
Collect, review, and process all hourly and full-time employee bi-weekly and monthlytimesheets.
Certify, track, and maintain all employee time & leave balances, analyzing data for accuracy and records maintenance for various employee groups on campus in accordance with the union contracts and CUNY guidelines.
Prepare compliance reports related to time & leave information including, but not limited to the annual CUNY report capturing leave balances (annual & sick) for all employees.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of employee time & leave policies and procedures. Ensure accuracy of data in electronic time & leave system.
Maintain and disseminate monthly time & leave reports to all staff andmanagers.
Assist in preparation and participation of HR seminars to advise and educate Yorkemployees.
Assist with and processmortgageverifications.
Support FMLA and other leave administration
Audit timesheets and submit payroll actions for processing and hourly timesheets to Central Office forpayment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years job related experience preferred (experience in payroll or time & leavesystemsis aplus).
Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, andOutlook.
Experience using PeopleSoft or other HRISsystem.
Detail oriented andorganized.
Customer serviceacumen.
Ability to handle confidentialinformation.
Ability to followdirectives.
Ability to work within a team environment, while maintaining the ability to work independently whenneeded.
Experience working in a fast-paced office environment; preferably in higher education, city or state agency.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to strictdeadlines
COMPENSATION
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Health Plan Coverage for Employees Hired on or after October 1, 2022 City of New York employees and employees of Participating Employers and their eligible dependents hired on or after October 1, 2022 will only be eligible to enroll in the EmblemHealth HIP HMO Preferred Plan and must remain in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan for the first year (365 days) of employment.
After 365 days of employment, the employee will have the option of either remaining in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan or selecting a different health plan within 30 days before the end of the 365th day period.
If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366th day.
Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period. An employee who needs to request an exemption from the required enrollment in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan can do so by submitting a HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form to EmblemHealth. An employee, or eligible dependent, must meet certain criteria and the request must be approved by EmblemHealth before the exemption is granted. The HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form and HIP service area are available on the EmblemHealth website.
The salary range for this position is $57,517 - $65,946.

Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
