The HR Services team is searching for a Senior HR Coordinator or HR Coordinator to support CMU's Student Workers. This is an exciting opportunity if you thrive in an interesting and challenging work environment and have a desire to enter the field of Human Resources. In this role, you will contribute to the department by providing timely and thorough customer service in a team environment around a variety of HR related matters for student workers.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a first contact for basic HR related questions for students' workers and departments by promptly responding to incoming calls, customers at the front desk, and emails regarding general topics related to time-tracking, on-boarding and pay.
- Assisting student workers with onboarding tasks and completing the Form I-9.
- Overseeing accurate entry of transactions and auditing data related to student employment.
- Supporting payroll processing activities and escalating pay-related issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues within Workday, CMU's HR system.

- Technical aptitude to troubleshoot and/or elevate system issues
- Ability to adapt to changing policy, process, and system requirements in support of a continuous improvement model
Qualifications:
Sr. HR Coordinator:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 1-3 years of related experience in human resources or an administrative and/or customer service setting. Previous experience in higher education and with Workday a plus!
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
HR Coordinator:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 0-1 years of related experience in human resources or an administrative and/or customer service setting. Previous experience in higher education and with Workday a plus!

- Work Posture: This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence of 3 days a week.
