We are looking for an HR Manager to join our HR department. The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
This is a full time job opportunity with Holiday Pay, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, and 401K benefits.
Essential Duties
Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions to ensure policies, procedures, and reports are in compliance.
Communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations to employees and management.
Develop and update HR policies and programs.
Recruit, interview, and select employees to fill vacant positions.
Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, and performance reviews.
Conduct orientations and provide ongoing training to the workforce.
Communicate with production supervisors to provide support and guidance.
Respond to employee relations issues and advise management in appropriate resolution of issues.
Attend and participate in weekly associate meetings.
Oversee the maintenance of employment and personnel records.
Coordinate and maintain employee benefits.
Maintain and oversee OSHA safety compliance including coordinating with outsourced OSHA compliance services and delegating pertinent job orders to our maintenance staff.
Ensure all proper employee documentation is gathered and uploaded to employee profiles in Optimum HRIS.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education Requirements
B.S Degree in a related field.
Five or more years of Human Resources experience.
Experience in a small-to-medium manufacturing environment.
Job Knowledge & Qualifications
Ability to handle confidential matters and information with discretion.
Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.
Desire to foster teamwork and respect all company associates at all levels.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to maintain attention to detail while performing multiple tasks.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred certificates include: PHR or SPHR.
