The Benefits Assistant provides administrative and customer service support to employees of DFCI with a focus on benefits but could include inquiries from other areas of Human Resources.??
This job is fully remote however, candidates must reside in and work full-time from one of the New England states (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI).??

Administers the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and other benefits.
Assist employees on eligibility, coverage, claims issues and other matters related to benefits.
Maintains electronic records and documents.
Conducts New Hire Orientation Benefits presentations.
Assists in the communication of benefits, including annual open enrollment.
Complete employment verification forms
Triage employees questions to other departments with in HR as needed.
Assists with projects.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma
1 year of experience in benefits, human resources support or other administrative support role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Excellent customer service skills; strong oral and written communication skills
Good judgement and ability to work autonomously
Strong ability to analyze information and remedy discrepancies
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), PeopleSoft, and ability to assimilate vendor and other systems
Attention to detail, organized, and a thoroughness in completing the work
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities within tight timelines, and have follow through skills
Ability to build working relationships within and across teams
