Job Overview: The Human Resources Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties.
Essential Functions:
Assist in administrating policies, procedures, and controls, including preparing unemployment claims; employment verifications, I-9 forms, and exit interviews; update and issuing of College employee manuals, communications, wage verifications, office administration, etc.
Assist with the reviewing and coordination of the hiring process through Applicant Tracking on Paycom by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and initializing background checks.
Conduct employee onboarding process through Paycom and provide benefit information to new and existing employees through the benefits portal.
Assist employee benefit programs which include such things as medical, dental, life insurance plans and retirement plans, etc.
Develop monthly HR newsletters and other memos as needed.
Properly research and distribute courses to employees (FERPA, Title IX, Sexual Harassment)
Support other assigned functions by the Director of Human Resources
Qualifications:
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to multi-task
Good organizational and time management skills
Strong proficiency in Datatel/Colleague
Ability to communicate information effectively, both orally and in writing, with demonstrated effective customer service skills at all levels. Flexibility and the ability to adapt and respond positively to unique, unforeseen, or unusual circumstances.
Ability to manage confidential matters and remain discrete. Demonstrated ability to plan and resolve administrative conflicts, prioritize in a multi-task environment, and effectively solve problems within the context of the priorities and goals of the College.
Education:
Bachelors degree required in a related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
2-4 years of experience in the field of human resources or relevant work experience, preferably in higher education.
Preferred HRIS system knowledge.
Work Schedule Requirements: Hybrid Availability: Yes or No
Monday - Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Full-time employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-Time employees can earn between 18-23 paid time off a year. The employer covers tuition remission after 90 days of employment and covers 100 % (employees responsible for books and technology fees).
