While working under the general supervision of corporate human resources leadership, and reporting to the director of corporate human resources, the ideal candidate will provide professional and direct human resource support to all corporate client groups.
These groups include all USPI employees. The manager will serve as advocate and point of contact for employees and leaders, and manage activities to support a highly engaged, service-centric culture. A true spirit of independent thinking, resourcefulness, and professionalism will be highly valued.
Responsibilities may include counsel and support in some or all of the following areas spanning the life cycle of our employees:
Create and maintain corporate HR "Playbooks/Toolkits", leveraging industry best practices, implementing a disciplined project management methodology to ensure project and communication plans, templates, tools, issues logs, etc. are appropriately leveraged and processes are repeatable to provide exceptional transition/change management service to our operations.
The proactive development, implementation, and management of HR program, practices, and policies.
Coaching leaders at various levels in the organization.
Working closely with management on critical performance, organizational, and leadership matters.
Providing guidance on issue mitigation, policy interpretation, maintaining accurate documentation along with general HR administrative guidelines and procedures.
Ownership of pre-hire process and managing the sustainability of the documented tools and online orientation modules. This will be done ensuring enhancements are completed to improve the onboarding experience.
Supporting the business with strong communication skills to embody Tenet's leadership competencies and setting a winning tone for company leaders.
Maintaining a working knowledge of current industry trends and multi-state employment laws.
Acting as an adviser for highly complex cases where additional considerations need to be made and providing those recommendations to mitigate risk.
Partnering closely and establishing relationships with compensation, legal, payroll, HR operations, and other key stakeholder teams to support the overall enterprise.
Modeling modern diversity, inclusion, and equality practices and programs.
Evaluating and recommending improvements for the organization's HR programs, procedures, and practices
Supporting leaders through the annual employee performance evaluation process ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
Coordinating and conducting exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation or resignation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent
5+ years of management experience in human resource functions.
Hospital HR Management or Corporate HR Management experience preferred
Strong leadership skills as well as effective consultative skills, high integrity, and sound business judgment
Experience with organization development in a fast-paced environment
Extensive experience in employee relations and related program management required; must demonstrate hands on experience in managing complex projects and change. Experience coaching leaders at various levels is a must.
Candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced professional environment, have exceptional organizational skills and proven project management capabilities to prioritize assigned activities and ensure timely and effective completion
Candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal and conflict management skills. Candidate will also have a positive, service-oriented attitude, willingness to go "above and beyond" in support of the internal clients and can maintain strict confidentiality.
A solid knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws is required.
The candidate must also be highly proficient in Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet. Solid experience with HR systems, e.g., LMS, SharePoint and constructing reports using tools such as Excel or Access are highly preferred
Experience with Oracle, and Kronos systems preferred
