Job Description The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator will provide comprehensive management of the University's LMS (SumTotal). This role reports to the Assistant Vice President of Organizational Development & Learning (OD&L) in Human Resources. The OD&L team's mission is to develop and nurture the talents, abilities, and strengths of staff and faculty to help them realize their full career potential while successfully forwarding the mission of the University. This role will be joining a dynamic and mission driven team of learning and development professionals who are committed to creating inclusive and equitable organizational development solutions. The LMS is a vital lever in creating a culture of continuous learning by scaling offerings and making training available and accessible in a large complex university. The LMS administrator will support this mission by ensuring users have a seamless experience in the system. In this role, the administrator will provide system configuration, testing and deploying new functionality, maintaining learning curricula and learning objects, creating, and implementing registration and assignments, and tier 1-2 support for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
In addition, this role will create and deliver data analytics support for reports on the effectiveness of training and provide technological and logistical support for online, virtual, and in-person training programs.
Required Skills Required Experience:
2-3 years of experience in managing an LMS (Sum Total or other SaaS platforms preferred)
Experience with using MS Tools, Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, SharePoint
Experience with working in a large complex organization with multiple stakeholders
Preferred Education:
B.A./B.S. Degree
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with reporting and data analytics tools like Qualtrics, Qlik
Familiarity with collaboration tools like MS Teams, Zoom
Experience in an institution of higher education is preferred, not required
