Position Summary
The Senior Director, HR/FA will be responsible for evaluating the overall strategic optimization of processes in support of organizational goals based on the analysis of key metrics. Utilizing a hands-on, collaborative approach and decision-making process, this position assists in the development of HR strategies and implementation of human resources best practices in talent acquisition, employee/labor relations, professional development and engagement, compensation, and performance management. The Sr. Director will evaluate the use and efficacy of Service Now to track and monitor processes to ensure a consistent and efficient workflow. Through work with the HR/FA SSC Directors and Managers, they will also guide the ongoing development best practices thought the identification of inefficiencies and recommend improvements as appropriate.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic with a focus on customer service, problem-resolution, proven project management experience, creativity and innovation. Also essential for this position, is the ability to collaborate with other key stakeholders within CUIMC to identify solutions to obstacles and challenges that impact both efficiency and accuracy of requested actions and tasks. One of the core functions of this position will be development and oversight of core function teams within the Shared Services Core (onboarding, leave management, visa applications). This position offers great opportunities to build, enhance, and develop processes in a highly fast-growing environment.
Responsibilities
Through the development of reports and dashboards within the HR Request/Ticketing System (Service Now) ensures that requests are routinely processed on time and accurately.
Identify gaps and inefficiencies, provide standardization and improvement to all HR operational processes/systems
Develop Recommendations for Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to the Executive Director.
Continuously working with clients and key stakeholders to build department profiles, using metrics and other tools to accomplish HR/FA related goals and objectives.
Incorporate feedback into a continuous improvement initiative to make HR transactions more efficient, more accurate, and quicker; collaborate with technical teams as required for the work.
Provide guidance and oversight to the HR Directors and Administrative Fellow for the development of Job Aids for operational systems
Review the use and effectiveness of electronic employee files working with outside vendor. Make recommendations for improvements or changes to the Executive Director, as necessary.
Supervise and manage the duties and responsibilities of the HR/FA Directors and Managers, as well as make strategic recommendations for the HR/FA staff and operations to the Executive Director.
Work on ad hoc projects to meet the goals and vision of the department.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor???s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus six (7) years of related Human Resources supervisory experience, preferably in health care, academic medical center or corporate environment.
Excellent customer service skills with an aptitude for diplomacy, building relationships, reaching consensus and collaborating, negotiation, and managing expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Visual Vault, Service Now and PeopleSoft preferred.
Master's Degree in HR Related Field or SHRM-SCP Certification a plus.
