The HR Business Partner in our NYC office works pro-actively to support on all HR related matters in the region in consultation with the global OSTTRA HR team. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to the senior/line management and employees that reflects the business objectives of OSTTRA. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy to help drive strategic plans in the region, the role essentially helps align the company's people strategy with its business strategy. The role will be accountable for the NYC office and will report to the HR Lead for US and EMEA.
Principal Accountabilities:
Provide HR support in the NYC office
Partnering with the local leaders/managers on a range of HR related activities like manager capability, team efficiency, talent management, succession planning, yearly pay cycle, etc.
Applying knowledge of employment law and exercising good judgement to effectively resolve employment relations issues in consultation with the local management, wider HR team/s and legal.
Ensuring end-to-end HR Service Delivery by partnering closely with the all the people/HR functions. e.g., Recruitment, Mobility, HR Operations.
Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, and initiatives to ensure that the short, medium and long term needs of the business are met.
Driving the regional focus on employee engagement, in alignment with the global agenda.
Overview and advise on work permit in the region by working closely with the key stakeholders and external consultants.
Single Point of Contact for any escalations on HR queries in the region.
Support in HR admin queries from managers and staff.
Handling issues related to Employee Relations.
Regular interaction with the parent HR teams to ensure a smooth HR service delivery in the region.
Accountable for HR Compliance & Regulations in the region.
Deliver on global HR projects as part of the overall HR Strategy Plan.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
3-5 years of relevant HR experience.
HR certification or degree (NOT mandatory).
Good communication and presentation skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of the many disciplines within HR, including diversity and inclusion, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management, employee relations, talent acquisition, etc.
Excellent stakeholder management and developing good work relationships across the organization.
Good change management and project management capabilities.
Data literacy, business acumen, digital proficiency and people advocacy will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of US employment law.

The salary range for this role is $82,100-$136,900. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
