Overview
The Office of Human Resources has an immediate opening for an HR Coordinator to support our Benefits and Compensation Team. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated individual with strong skills in MS Office and a customer service mindset. This position will provide high-level administrative support to the Benefits and Compensation team and will report to the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for the Benefits and Compensation team.
Responsibilities
Overseeing, maintaining and coordinating complex level calendars and meeting schedules; coordinates campus wide benefits and compensation related seminars.
Writing and preparing confidential memos, reports, letters and other documents for final distribution, which includes editing, proofreading, and formatting documents.
Maintaining files and material for the AVP HR Benefits and Compensation; sorting and distributing mail for the benefits and compensation team.
Assists team with responding to ACD calls and benefits mailbox; Conducts new hire orientations; Organizes materials and supports team as needed at events.
Responsible for monitoring the Benefits and Compensation budget and other project budgets aligned to Compensation and Benefits for accuracy. Reporting on a monthly basis against the allocation.
Ensures departmental travel and expense activities are aligned to policy and approves with authority from AVP HR Benefits and Compensation.
Preparation of new hire orientation and retiree benefit packets.
Organizing and assistance with preparation of materials for the following: Benefits Committee, PRICOM, Trustee reports, Investment Committee, and as needed for other senior leadership meetings at the University.
Building and maintaining web pages for the Benefits and Compensation area.
Responsible for review and approval of dependent verification coverage benefit coverage.
Manages open enrollment fairs requiring: vendor attendance coordination; scheduling; location preparation with facility and system support; material delivery coordination; managing costs within budget.

HS diploma and at least 1 year of related experience
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products Administrative support experience working with sensitive, confidential information Communicates clearly, both orally and written to peers, faculty and staff Superior customer service skills Demonstrate analytical skills and detail oriented Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively, as a team member Flexible, handling varied tasks or projects concurrently Strong interpersonal skills; excellent judgment; comfortable making decisions under pressure; exceptional organizational skills
