Title: HR Assistant Reports to: Director of Payroll & HR Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Lead HR Generalist, the HR Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of Weidner s Human Resources department. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintains accurate and up-to-date files, records, and documentation for US and Canada associates
Answers frequently asked questions relative to Weidner policies and procedures, benefits, hiring processes from applicants and associates; Refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resources files and records
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
Completes, maintains, and verifies accuracy of I-9 forms
Assists with new hire orientation
Assist with the allocation of bills relating to personnel including all health insurance, health savings account, drug testing and associate assistance programs
Manages the drug screening program for US and for the Aviation Department as required by the FAA
Assist with Retirement Plans (401k & Roth IRA) and Canada Pension Plan programs
Provides clerical support to the HR Department
Maintain knowledge of current Human Resource and Payroll practices and evaluate effectiveness for company use by attending training courses
Participate in Human Resources Team meetings
Maintain thorough knowledge of all company personnel directives as outlined in the Associate Handbook
Performs other duties as assigned
Actively participate in a positive team environment through teamwork, communication and excellence in service; Communicate regularly with the Human Resources and Payroll teams
Actively demonstrate the values of the Weidner Customer Service Vision to team members, associates and external customers
Qualifications:
Follow Weidner s Mission, Vision and Values and comply with all of Weidner s policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook and Policy and Procedure Manual, as well as the Fair Housing rules and regulations
Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code and maintain professional appearance at all times
Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
Ability to work 5 days a week in the Kirkland Home Office
Prior HR office experience required
Associate s Degree in related field required
Consistent close attention to detail and processes
Experienced inMicrosoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid and current driver s license, vehicle and vehicle insurance
