Roxbury Community College is seeking knowledgeable and collaborative Human Resources professional to provide administrative support for the Executive Director of Human Resources & members of the Human Resources Team pertaining to department projects, policies, collective bargaining agreement implementation and Division activities; performs liaison work with the internal and external community. The individual who serves in this position provides exceptional Human Resources service to a diverse workforce and is committed to expansive excellence, diversity, and continually strives to promote a culture of success and engagement for all employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as first point of contact in office of Human Resources & Payroll;
Manage Professional Staff Member reappointment process and maintain Access and/or Excel database to ensure contractual compliance;
Manage the reappointment process for part-time employees;
Maintains and ensures accuracy of all records for the department of Human Resources to include Personnel Action Request ( FT & PT);
Back up to enter FT & PT employees and associated data into HRCMS;
Run Warehouse reports as needed;
Composes, answers, and distributes all departmental correspondence and handles telephone inquiries as required;
Assist with task associated with departmental research, special projects, surveys and reports
Manages Executive Director of Human Resources Calendar and schedules meetings;
Works as team member to provide appropriate departmental coverage
Assist in the coordination and tracking professional development submissions
Prepares and tracks Internal Purchasing Request for HR department;
Assists with updating and maintaining the Human Resources webpages
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent experience in related fields.
At least 2-3 years of related experience;
Ability to multitask, handling multiple projects simultaneously and work in high traffic office;
Ability to organize work area and work load for self and in support of Executive Director;
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom and/or other related computer software
Team player who appreciates and thrives in a diverse workforce;
Exceptional Customer Service and Organizational skills;
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information in confidential and professional manner;
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience in higher education, ideally in a collective bargaining environment.

Location: Roxbury campus. This position will be eligible for a maximum of two days of telework in accordance with the College's telework policy.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday thru Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
