HR Business Partner / consultant to leaders of teams within a school, college or organization. Responsible for leading and influencing HR activities within scope in terms of talent assessment, performance management, and development of employees and teams. Acts as broker and conduit for HR services (talent acquisition, compensation, learning and training, etc.), and partners with HR COE colleagues to meet the needs of the organization they support. Serves as the HR consultant on Employee relations matters within scope including interpretation of policy and practice, by applying HR best practices and ensuring compliance with university policy and practice, as well as employment and labor law.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
-5 years + of broad HR Practitioner experience within complex organizations.
-Proven ability to establish credibility, build relationships and act as a strategic partner to clients.
-Experience in strategic workforce planning, assessment and analysis of talent and teams.
-Excellent consultative and influencing skills.
-Demonstrated ability to work with process and data to continuously improve service.
-Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements.
-Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills with an emphasis on expressing clear, concise and tactful information.
-Must effectively represent the University to diverse audiences.
-Considerable knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws and University/HR policies and practices.
-Ability to organize and prioritize work and influence and coach at appropriate levels.
-Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
-Demonstrated high level of initiative and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
-Strong project management, organizational and time management skills.
