Serving as day-to-day contact for firm’s PEO and human resources consultant(s)

Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

Assisting with development and maintaining knowledge of company’s policies and procedures; communicate these to employees and ensuring consistent implementation and application

Managing safety program including investigations and documentation of events

Administration of payroll and benefits, including PTO, FMLA, and workers’ comp

Maintaining all job descriptions

Overseeing the recruitment and onboarding of new employees including career fairs, recruiting firms, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, writing offers, compliance paperwork, and immigration sponsorships

Implementing the firm’s performance appraisal process

Coordinating ongoing employee relations opportunities including staff appreciation events and volunteer outings

Managing ongoing professional development training for employees

Maintaining employee files

Managing the departure process for employees as necessary

Participating in career development training as assigned by supervisor or executives
