Human Resources Director
The HR Director is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources at CGPS. The HR Director will oversee and manage CGPS’ HR administrative needs, including oversight of employee recruitment; training and development; employee relations, benefits administration, maintenance of employee records; interpretation of personnel policy; management of academic and administrative appointments; compliance with employment and school law; and overseeing personnel procedures and systems. This position will work in partnership with the CFO and Assistant Head of School on all strategic issues related to overall recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations and organizational development. The HR Director has one direct report, the HR Generalist.
CGPS is creating a new senior level leadership position to respond to and support the significant growth that we have experienced in recent years. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and energetic professional to completely build out HR processes for a prestigious Upper West Side school. We are seeking to modernize our systems and enhance the positive culture of the school. Compensation
The salary range for this position is $175,000-225,000. We offer exceptional vacation time and benefits, and a warm and supportive culture.

Qualifications
Enthusiastic and proactive person with a positive, collaborative attitude and a strong work ethic
Strong organizational and time management skills and detail oriented
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Must have a college degree, a Master’s degree in Human Resources management and/or other Human Resources certifications are a plus
Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in HR
Experience in a non-profit or independent school preferred
