Working under the supervision of the Director, Human Resources, this role will provide guidance on employment law, coordinate performance management, and resolve employee relations issues.Â Acts as expert on Human Resources policies and procedures such as compensation, talent acquisitions, employee and labor relations, performance management, and employee development. The role will support the USC Care & Ambulatory Services area by promoting, communicating, and implementing Human Resourceâs strategies and initiatives.Â Assists in implementing system-wide policies at USC Care & Ambulatory Services area.Â Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues.Â Resolves employee and labor relation issues through an organized, thoughtful, and systematic approach.Â Develops and drives system-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary and performance reviews, workforce planning, and organizational change).Â Engages in the development, planning, and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures.Â Investigates, resolves, or escalates complex workplace issues to ensure resolution, consistency, fairness and legal compliance.Â Advises, trains, and consults employees on policies, performance management, corrective action, and issue resolution.Â Performs various other employee relations duties, including employee counseling, equal employment opportunity, diversity, equity, inclusion, and labor relations.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢3+ years as a Human Resources Generalist in the hospital/clinical setting.â¢Previous experience in Employee and Labor Relations area.â¢Experience as a Human Resources Manager in the hospital/clinical setting preferred.Required License/Certification:â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 90 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
