New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, located in the heart of Greenwich Village, has an exciting Human Resources Generalist opportunity. The new incumbent to this role will join a collaborative, experienced HR team and assist with the delivery of human resources and services to the school’s employees.
The new Human Resources Generalist (HRG) will play an integral part in recruiting, welcoming and on-boarding new employees and supporting all of the school's staff on a broad range of HR matters. The selected candidate will perform full-cycle recruitment activities for non-exempt and select exempt positions (i.e., develop recruitment strategies that cast wide nets, source talent and welcome and support new hires). The HR Generalist will work with managers to assist them in creating and modifying position descriptions and securing NYU HR’s evaluations of them. The HR Generalist will also assist with coordinating employee recognition and community building events, annual performance reviews, the school's annual merit review process and budget planning processes. As well, HRG will assist Executive Director and Director with work on policies, procedures, taskforce and committee deliverables, projects, metrics, reporting and employee relations matters.
The selected candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 2 plus years of relevant human resource experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience must include recruitment, and/or compensation. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, interviewing, problem-solving, multi-tasking and communication skills are required along with discretion and sound judgment. The ability to interpret and effectively communicate policies and procedures and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment, interact effectively with applicants and employees at all levels, and make fair and reasonable recommendations is essential. Proficiency using Workday, iCIMS and Microsoft Office and Google Suites is highly desirable, as is the incumbent’s ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $85,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
