The Idyllwild Arts Summer Program provides arts instruction and experiences of the highest caliber to a diverse student population of all ages and abilities.
Idyllwild is a small town located at over 5,000 feet on the western slopes of California's San Jacinto Mountains. Even though it seems far from the hustle and bustle of city life, the town and campus frequently hosts music festivals, prominent speakers and artists, and community events. Also, it is only two hours by car to Los Angeles and San Diego.
POSITION: Human Resources & Finance Coordinator
LOCATION: Idyllwild, California
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources (Primary) & Finance
REPORTS TO: Exec. Director of People & Culture
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (On Campus)
PAY RANGE: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour
Provides Administrative support to both Human Resources and Finance taking direction from the Exec. Director of People & Culture and also the HR Generalist, and VP of Finance & Business Operations. This position has access to confidential information and requires careful attention to maintain the privacy of that information. Will be located in the Finance Department next to Human Resources in the Bowman Bldg.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects, sorts, distributes and scans mail for HR and Finance
Supports regular duties assigned and special projects for Finance including but not limited to reviewing credit card expense reconciliations, assisting with student billing/student questions, etc
Creates check requests and completes expense and credit card reconciliation reports for HR & Finance
On a daily basis the Coordinator helps manage IAF recruiting needs by keepings job postings up to date and seeing that candidate resumes are being reviewed in a timely manner. Conducts pre-screens by phone, on ZOOM, or in person. Coordinating interviews. Checks references.
Continues the hiring process by seeing that candidates background checks, and DMV checks are being done.
Onboards new hires providing them with an individual orientation which includes the handbook and benefits available to them and provides a tour of the property and getting their ID to enhance their start with IAF. Sends out welcome message, etc.
Will assist with training and development
As needed, supports Guest Services
QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS INCLUDING SOFTWARE, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.):
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with public speaking and doing new hire orientation.
Previous Human Resources and Accounting/Finance experience is preferred
Able to multitask with various regular tasks and with special projects without constant direction
Previous experience with HRIS and ATS systems is a plus.
Type by touch, 10-key preferred. Proficient in MS Word, Excel. PayCom, ApplicantPro, and PowerPoint a plus.
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's Degree in related subject is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this position, an incumbent may be required to:
Regularly remain sedentary for long periods of time in meetings and while processing information and paper work both manually and on a computer.
Reach with the hands, arms, and use of hands to finger, type, and manipulate a computer keyboard and mouse.
Additionally, the incumbent must be able to converse in clear English both written and orally, over a telephone and in person.
Occasionally, incumbents may be required to lift up to 50 pounds, traverse uneven terrain and climb stairs while moving about campus, bend and stoop, conduct tours and show visitors campus facilities.
Work hours vary and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pass a LiveScan for criminal history background check as required by California Education Code Section 44237.
Pass a TB Test.
