Job Summary:
Are you a mission-focused, dynamic, and hard-working HR professional with a strong focus on customer service along with an ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment? As the Human Resources Manager, under the guidance of the Chief Human Resource Officer, you will provide leadership across the full spectrum of HR functions. Your focus will be on HRIS development and management, talent acquisition, and performance management leading to a high performing, employee-oriented human resource department.
Other tasks you will be able to do:
Serve as consultive HR resource and liaison to supervisors, hiring managers and employees.
Develop, deliver, and implement a comprehensive onboarding experience that creates a welcoming and inclusive experience for new employees
Interpret, advise on, apply, and disseminate complex policies, procedures, and options to leadership and employees
Advise employees and supervisors regarding performance and disciplinary issues, administer progressive discipline and grievance procedures consistently, listen to employee and supervisor concerns, conduct investigations as needed, and recommend a plan of action.
Oversee performance appraisal process and provide relevant coaching and guidance.
Guide management and employee actions by developing, writing, updating and maintain all HR – related polices, procedure, methods, guidelines, while communicating and enforcing university values in compliance with all legal and organizational requirements, standards and procedures.
Develop and leverage training resources to support best strategies for employee development and success
The skills and qualifications that you possess will include:
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a closely related field of study required or an equivalent combination of certification, education, and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
A Master’s degree and/or HR certification is preferred
7 - 10 years’ experience as a human resource professional in progressively responsible positions, preferably with supervisor experience.
Expertise in talent acquisition, on-boarding and HRIS systems with demonstrated capability to quickly learn new HR systems
Hands-on practitioner who works collaboratively to build and execute a technology road map that balances the strategic and operational needs of HR, leveraging a deep understanding of cutting- edge HR process and systems.
Demonstrated competency in the development and implementation of innovative systems, initiates, strategies, policies and process improvements
Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Expertise in regulatory compliance across the full spectrum on HR functions
Ease with public speaking
Proficient in social media marketing.
This position is an in-person role on campus with a flexible workplace schedule including the possibility of limited remote work.
