Bullis School seeks a highly motivated and hands-on leader to serve as the next Director of Human Resources. This position is responsible for all human resources functions and will provide guidance and support to Bullis leadership on a range of human resources initiatives. These functions include: the regulatory compliance of all applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations as they relate to employment and human resources; workplace compliance by overseeing workplace investigations, policy creation and interpretation, performance management, medical accommodations, leave (FMLA/disability, ADA) requests; benefits; and other workplace projects impacting the employee experience. The Director of HR provides functional supervision to the Payroll Manager/HR Generalist with regard to HR-related tasks.
The Director of HR works directly with the Dean of Faculty to develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process. The Director of HR also oversees on-boarding/off-boarding for new staff, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws. This is a 12-month position reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Operations.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related fields or the equivalent education and experience, required
- Five to seven years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Masters in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related fields preferred
- SHRM-CP/SCP preferred
