HR Data Audit Coordinator (Hybrid) - Human Resources

This position provides specialized HR record management support using Workday software to process, approve, and troubleshoot transactions; as well as, responds to routine and non-routine inquiries using data and reports. This position applies university policies when using the system to manage and support workflows, corrections, and audits; responsible for ensuring compliance with federal regulations and university policies.
This position is a hybrid work environment (in-person and remote).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Adheres to university and HR regulatory standards for data management and integrity and validates supporting documentation.Â
Assists in compiling data for the Data Audit Lead to support in data integrity analysis including auditing monthly and biweekly payroll documents for accuracy and timeliness.
Drives the timely completion of approval processes and transactions through analysis of issues that impact payroll, benefits administration, recruiting and compensation reviews, academic appointment workflows and academic pay approvals.
Monitors and inputs blended rate and bonus calculations to meet FLSA guidelines.
Audits/analyzes third party data for accuracy and compliance.Â Â Â
Quickly and effectively responds to all departmental questions related to transactions and adheres to timeline driven standards.
Responds to common and escalated employee and manager process, or policy, questions related to HR data and the aligned HR impacts. Investigates inquires and requests to determine downstream impacts to inform approval decisions.
Serves as the main point of contact for departmental customer communications.Â Â Â
Adheres to established SLAs by monitoring operational reports, assessing workload, and communicating with Lead as issues arise.
Engages in continual improvement through on-going training.
Uses Workday to process, troubleshoot, evaluate and support decisions aligned with university policies and data governance standards.
Maintains compliance with federal regulations.Â Â Â
Collects transactional data and identifies trends; prepares reports of inquiry themes.Â
Escalates data trend issues to the Data Audit Lead as necessary and highlights where enhanced documentation is needed.Â Â Â
Provides back-up support and assistance to the team.
Participates in business process testing and initiatives as appropriate for assigned area of support.Â Â Â
Performs other duties as assigned.Â Â Â
Two, or more, years of college courses in accounting, business, human resources (policy/procedures/law), and/or computer science.
Experience in Human Capital Management (HCM), payroll, and leaves of absence.
Workday software experience strongly preferred in payroll and appointments.
Demonstrated effective attention to detail for auditing of detailed information.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to maintain effective focus on customer service as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, easily adapting to fluctuating workloads, deadlines and customer needs.
Demonstrated organization skills with a high attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or in teams.
Ability to use discretionary judgment with an analytical and critical-thinking mindset.
Ability to effectively prioritize time and projects to satisfactory completion.
Effective understanding and knowledge of FLSA regulations and employment law, along with the ability to apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Â
Equivalent of a high school diploma.
Proficiency in Web navigation and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Two to three years of experience in a large, complex HR/payroll service center environment.
$24.24 - $37.58 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
