Job Description Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting Human Resources functions including, but not limited to, benefits administration and leaves management such as FMLA and Worker's Compensation. This position will provide general assistance in the HRIS completing testing and ensuring data accuracy.
Bachelors Degree in related field with 1 year of experience working in Human Resources OR 3 years of experience working in a related position; OR Associates Degree in a related field with 3 years of Human Resources or Payroll experience.
Experience working in employment benefits.
Experience working with PeopleAdmin, or similar Applicant Tracking System.
Experience working with Ellucian/Banner, or similar HRIS.
Other Information: Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide customer service to all customers by answering phones, emails and responding to general inquiries.
Assist with providing support to managers and employees by assisting with interpersonal complaints, and policy or process interpretation.
Administer employee benefits by enrolling employees, reconciling statements, and processing changes/terminations.
Assist employees with benefit issues; working closely with benefits consultant.
Coordinate benefits events including annual wellness screenings, open enrollment, and on campus retirement/financial meetings.
Complete annual reporting, including 1095C and OSHA 300.
Process employee terminations ensuring proper procedures are followed and entered into HRIS.
Verify payroll information regarding deductions, leaves, and pay rates for active employees.
Maintain and review employee personnel files.
Process tuition reimbursement and tuition remission requests.
Administer FMLA leaves and requests ensuring consistency and compliance. Update payroll deductions, leave reports, and other items as needed.
Oversee, track, and report workers compensation claims and accident reports.
Track annual performance evaluations and assist managers or employees with questions, concerns, and guidance as needed.
Perform testing of the upgrades of the applicable Banner modules used in Human Resources.
