Responsibilities: | Creates and maintains human resources (HR) records, coordinates logistics for one or many HR functions, disseminates HR communications, and processes various HR specific transactions to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations - 20% Creates and maintains various HR specific reports, databases, and/or records to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and legal rules and regulations
- 20% Enters, reviews, and processes HR transactions according to established policies and procedures
- 15% Schedules logistics and secures resources for recruitment processes, onboarding activities, payroll functions, and/or other HR related activities
- 20% Serves as a point of contact to employees, managers, and internal and external stakeholders. Responds to inquiries and escalates more complex issues to the appropriate authorities
- 15% Audits and tracks compliance for various HR functions such as performance evaluations, onboarding, off boarding, criminal background checks, and credentialing
- 10% Manages the dissemination of HR related communications to various audiences under the direction of leadership

Tasks: | - Maintain the HR Office, including monitoring office equipment and assisting with maintenance as needed, coordinating incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining office supplies.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for individuals and groups, greeting arrivals and provides organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums.
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations.
- Screen, review, and prioritize incoming mail and e-mail messages.
- Manage the staff photo directory.
- Manage the driving authorization database according to the Univeristy Housing's required driver's policy.
- Provides support and assists as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency.

Education: | Preferred H.S. Diploma |
Qualifications: | Previous professional office experience required. Previous Human Resources (HR) experience preferred. Bilingual skills preferred. |
License/Certification: | Preferred SHRM-CP - SHRM Certified Professional Certification |

Work Schedule: | This position will work primarily onsite during the initial 6-month evaluation period. After successfully completing the evaluation period this position has the ability to transition to a hybrid remote/on-site work schedule at the discretion of the individual employee and department. This position shares responsibility for maintaining HR office operations onsite, so onsite work will still be expected.
Primary work schedule for this position is 7:45a - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Extra hours as needed. Schedule will be determined with the successful finalist at time of offer.

Salary: | Minimum $20.50 HOURLY Depending on Qualifications This is a full-time appointment. The starting hourly rate is $20.50 or higher based on qualifications and includes a competitive retirement and benefits package. |
