Working in a very busy environment, the incumbent in this position provides direct support to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources and performs duties of a high-level, complex, significant and confidential nature that support the operations of the Office of Human Resources with limited oversight. The incumbent must also be able to independently apply operational, procedural and/or compliance knowledge when handling routine matters or decisions related to designated areas of responsibility and is held accountable for those decisions and results, which often have college-wide significance.
1. Bachelor’s Degree, however an Associate’s Degree and an additional two years (total of four years) of directly related experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Minimum of two years of experience providing direct assistance to a senior organizational leader that required effective liaison and relationship-building skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills and professional acumen when interacting with a variety of contacts/clients. 3. Ability to serve as a project leader and assist with the supervision of others when necessary. Experience with preparing meeting minutes. Ability to conduct research and interpret and apply legal/governmental regulations as appropriate 4. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Word and Excel to produce complex documents and reports, and with database systems; ability to learn/utilize technical solutions as presented
