Human Resource Manager Position Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will work with the Director of Human Resources, HR Team, leadership, and employees in ensuring that Donor Network of Arizona has a mission-motivated, talented workforce, that is representative of the communities we serve, for the current and future needs of Donor Network of Arizona. This position is responsible for the oversight and performance of the Human Resources Department, functions, and team. Responsibilities include staffing, employee relations and experience, compensation, benefits, safety program administration, and overall human resources administration. The Human Resources Manager works with the Director of Human Resources and other stakeholders in the HR Department and with direct reporting staff on formulating HR functional goals, strategies, and tactics. Finally, this position serves as a member of the DNA Leadership Team and partners with supervisors, managers, directors, and others in continuously improving the overall organization in alignment with our mission and ensuring a consistently positive work experience for all. This includes ensuring a supportive and team-oriented HR Department in alignment with core values and HR focus areas. This position works primarily in our headquarters office in Tempe Arizona, with some limited remote work and travel.
Skills:
1. Staffing: Oversees and is responsible for organizational full-cycle of talent acquisition, employer branding, staffing, selection, placement, and related applicant and candidate positive experience in partnership with direct reporting HR staff and hiring leaders and teams. May direct perform recruiting activities as needed in support of HR staff and/or hiring leaders’ teams.
2. Onboarding: In partnership with Organizational Training and Development Specialist and DNA Leadership Team is responsible for ensuring new employee onboarding and organizational training implementation and positive experience.
3. Performance Management and Improvement: Oversees the organization’s performance management program in partnership with direct reporting HR staff and DNA Leadership Team.
4. HR Policies and Procedures: Remains current on laws, regulations, best practices, and data and makes related to human resources and makes recommendations for continuous improvements.
Updates and ensures HR and employment policies, standard operating procedures, programs, and practices are accurate, effective, compliant, and implemented.
Ensures HR and employment related record keeping is in alignment with applicable laws and regulations requirements.
Advises leadership and employees on HR policies and procedures in partnership with direct reporting HR staff.
Acts as a resource and counsels management in the areas of employee relations, performance management, recruitment/retention, and terminations.
Assesses needs, legal risks and counsels’ leaders as needed in the areas of employee relations, performance management, recruitment/retention, and terminations.
5. Employee Relations and Experience: Ensures a consistently positive experience for employees, leaders, applicates, and others that utilize and/or interact with human resources department services and/or solution.
Acts as a resource and counsels management in the areas of employee relations, performance management, recruitment/retention, and terminations.
Assesses needs, legal risks and counsels’ leaders as needed in the areas of employee relations, performance management, recruitment/retention, and terminations.
Oversees and conducts HR related investigations and resolutions for problem solving procedure inquiries.
Ensures training for management on HR related topics and/or supervisors
6. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Responsible for ensuring administrative and technical support for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program in partnership with HR Staff, DE&I Committee Leaders, Sponsors, and DNA DE&I Advocates.

8. Human Resources Staff Support
Hires, trains, develops, engages and supports direct reporting HR staff
Oversees the workflow and performance of functional processes, tasks, and staff.
Provides servant leadership and situational leadership principles in providing direction, coaching, and support as needed.
9. Leadership Support and Participation
In partnership with the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Training, plans and conducts in-service training for management staff in human resources topics.
Participates on the leadership team on providing input on Donor Network of Arizona’s strategy, goals, and continuous improvement in alignment with our mission.
10. Human Resources Administration and Planning
Participates in the development of the Human Resources strategic plan, tactics, and objectives to align with the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives.
Develops and implements the functional goals, strategies, and tactics in partnership with Director of Human Resources, HR Staff, and key stakeholders.

Requirements:
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree
PHR, SHRM-CP, CHHR, other professional level HR Certification, or related advanced degree (Master’s, JD, etc.)
Minimum Experience
5 years of Human Resources Experience
5 years of leadership experience at a supervisor level or above OR 3 years at a manager level or above
Minimum Field of Expertise
Human Resources Management
Preferred Education
Advanced Degree (Master’s, JD, etc.)
SPHR, SHRM-SCP, and/or other senior professional level HR certification
Preferred Experience
7+ years of Human Resources related experience
5+ years of Healthcare industry experience
