We are looking for a self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills to join the Human Resources Team within the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR). The HR Coordinator will provide human resource-related support primarily in the areas of faculty recruitment, staff performance management and learning and development. Responsibilities will include: processing hiring requests for faculty positions and assisting with search processes, providing guidance and assistance to resolve questions related to the IANR staff performance management process and system, entry and management of data in various HR systems and assisting with training (develop handouts, PowerPoints, training content; may help provide training if interested). The incumbent will be responsible for providing these human resources responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines. Flexible/remote work possible.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma plus three years of related human resources work experience; equivalent education/experience considered.
Experience using Excel for data management
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others
Demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently, establish priorities and meet deadlines. Attention to detail is essential.
Knowledge of human resources laws and best practices.
Experience preparing and conducting training, handouts and Powerpoints or other presentation software.
Knowledge of recruitment best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience with an applicant tracking, performance management or similar systems.
