The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and tactical support role that will work closely with leaders and employees at all levels. Our team provides information, guidance, consultation, and facilitates the delivery of HR services. We are driven and have a strong commitment to provide an optimal employee experience. As an HRBP with Fred Hutch you will be responsible for:
Strategic Consulting and Employee Experience
As a Business Partner, you will utilize your experience to support your assigned client group to align HR programs with organizational strategy. You will use your consultation skills to guide and support leaders to bring the best experience and solutions to employees. While actively identifying opportunities; proposing and implementing changes to mitigate risks.
As a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, you will support the employee experience by ensuring that management understands our policies and practices. There may be times when you are supporting training, facilitating sensitive conversations, and making recommendations for an optimal employee experience.
As part of our growing and evolving organization, you will partner with management to advise on change implications and people impacts of organizational programs and initiatives.
As a Business Partner, you will be called upon to support internal HR projects client initiatives.
7+ years' related HR experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in multiple disciplines of Human Resources and knowledge of relevant labor and employment law
Experience driving action through influence without authority
Experience in navigating and operating in ambiguous situations
WorkDay experience preferred
Experience in an academic, research, biotech , life sciences or clinical setting is highly desirable
Experience with DEI initiatives
Experience with Microsoft Suite, Teams, Zoom

The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance was incorporated in 1998 as a separate, jointly governed non-profit that included the cancer programs of three partners. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is a cancer treatment center that unites doctors from Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, University of Washington Medical Center, and Seattle Children’s. The purpose of this organization is to provide state-of the-art patient and family centered care; support the conduct of cancer clinical research and education; enhance access to improved cancer interventions; and advance the standard of cancer care regionally and beyond. The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Northwest, and according to the National Cancer Data Base, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance patients in general have better survival rates than patients treated at other cancer treatment centers.
