The Assistant Director of Human Resources/Title IX Coordinator will oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new full time employees and adjunct faculty. They will review salaries for full time employees, step increases, reclassifications and tenure. They will become familiar with College policies and procedures and data systems and management including HRCMS, Colleague/Datatel, Payroll and Maxient. They will update the H.R. Portal and implement mandatory training, professional development and wellness programs for all employees utilizing the College's training vendor (Get Inclusive) and other employee resources.
The Assistant Director will serve as the Title IX Coordinator. They will collaborate with the Assistant Director of Human Resources/ADA Coordinator, to prepare IPEDS reports, analyze HR data and provide summaries for the College administration and campus constituents and maintain compliance with federal and state reporting requirements. The Assistant Director of Human Resources/Title IX Coordinator will implement the HR Work Plan and Calendar and oversee the H.R. Generalist. The Assistant Director of Human Resources/Title IX Coordinator will work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources/Affirmative Action Officer to implement College policies and procedures. They will also provide support for Affirmative Action investigations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: See job description below
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure compliance of state laws/policies, federal statutes and regulations on HR responsibilities.
- Work with the HR Generalist and HR Staff Assistant on personnel issues (discipline, hiring, promotions, reclassifications, etc.) in accordance with relevant policies procedures and regulations.
- Prepare the Payroll Actions Report in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Human Resources/ ADA Coordinator.
- Serve as the Title IX Coordinator, providing implementation of campus-wide Title IX training and prevention and back-up investigator on Affirmative Action complaints.
- Support compliance with the Clery/Drug Free Schools/Campus Violence Prevention and similar reports.
- Utilize Get Inclusive and resources (e.g., SHRM, CUPA) for employee training, professional development, and wellness.
- Review and enhance HR office systems and technology that support personnel transactions and the maintenance of personnel records and files.
- Work with Assistant Director of Human Resources/ADA Coordinator to compile, validate, and submit employee data reports to state and federal agencies (e.g., IPEDs).
- Coordinate the evaluations of full time employees, including faculty, and classified employees.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Human Resources/ADA Coordinator to comply with union information requests pursuant to collective bargaining agreements.
- Oversee Workers Compensation for employees.
- Update the Human Resources Portal and draft communications from Human Resources.
- Support the implementation of the HR Work Plan and the College's strategic planning process.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:

- Methods and techniques of conflict resolution, strategic planning, organizational development, and supervision.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has strong skills and expertise in the human resource field, preferably in higher education. They will utilize their human resources experience to identify opportunities to make HR operations more efficient and accurate. They will have expertise in data systems and management including HRCMS, Colleague/Datatel or equivalent record systems and Payroll. They will be comfortable producing reports and preparing presentations that represent the work and data of the Office of Human Resources. In addition, the candidate must possess the following credentials and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, public administration, business administration or a related field required, Master's degree preferred.
- 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources administration.
- Affirmative Action/Title IX investigation experience required.
- Familiarity with HRCMS, Colleague/Datatel and Maxient systems and Interview Exchange desired.
- Experience with employee training, professional development and wellness programs.
- Proficiency with technology: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Project Management software.
- Understanding and experience with payroll operations and procurement requisitions.
- Ability to compile, analyze and report on HR data.
- Prior Massachusetts Community College and/or higher education HR experiences a plus.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, highly organized and detail oriented.
- Two years of supervisory experience of HR operations
