EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) AND STRATEGIC TALENT MANAGEMENT (STM) , Office of Resource Development /Alumni Association, to lead and supervise the HR and STM team servicing the Alumni Association (AA) and Resource Development (RD). Will develop and manage strategy for this shared services enterprise and work with both senior teams to attract quality employees, ensure strategic engagement and growth, and guide ongoing performance. Responsibilities include building a world-class team supporting AA/RD's strategic initiatives/priorities; establishing an STM program that represents best practices, including identifying and developing leaders, developing successor talent, and providing strategic direction in developing and retaining talent; and overseeing the design, delivery, and implementation of programs/resources that advance MIT/AA/RD's commitment to belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least ten years' HR experience demonstrating progressive responsibilities and expertise in talent management, assessment, engagement, and development; thorough knowledge of performance management practices; understanding of all elements of talent management and professional development; strategic leadership experience; proven ability to attract, build, develop, and mentor a small- to medium-sized group; excellent interpersonal, listening, relationship-building, and oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present to and engage audiences; sound judgment; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; and experience improving effectiveness through support for building and sustaining a work environment that advances diversity and inclusion, celebrates achievements, and encourages teamwork. Seek a results-oriented leader who is able to influence, hold others accountable, can work effectively on a senior management team, and has a proven record of accomplishment in a position requiring independent planning and efficient utilization of time and resources, including managing budgets.
